Crisis Foster Care

Are you facing a difficult life situation and need help? Humane Indiana understands not wanting to lose your pet, especially during a traumatic time in life. We know there are a variety of reasons in which Emergency Crisis Fostering is needed, including homelessness, domestic abuse, house fires, injury, illness, relocating or moving, and more.

Let us help you make it through these trying times and keep your dogs and/or cats with you and your family. If you are temporarily unable to care for your pet or have run into unforeseen circumstances, we will work to match you with an Emergency Crisis Foster who is willing to temporarily open their home and heart to your pet. Reuniting you with your furry friend after your hardship is the best-case scenario for you—and your pet.
